T.E.A.C.C.H.

T.E.A.C.C.H. assessments and strategies are a pivotal part of the assessment and support process that has proved to be so successful at Autism Care.

T.E.A.C.C.H. is the treatment and education of autistic and related communication-handicapped children and adults and uses an in depth assessment in each area of a person's life to identify passing and emerging skills. From this we can produce a summary of skills and strategies to achieve outcomes for individuals.

This assessment is completed in three areas: direct observation, home scale and school scale. This is due to the fact that people with Autism can have a skill base level that can fluctuate between environments. Consequently, using this approach gives an overall view of their emerging skills, therefore allowing us to implement meaningful and practical activities and teaching methods across all three areas.
